As a response to the current workplace trends and the evolution of their business model, JTO, Inc., a residential, commercial, industrial and site-management developer, desires a work environment that exemplifies their mission of providing “Pride in Excellence.” WBA is currently working on responsive design solutions that balance company image with fiscal responsibility and functional efficiency.
With today’s technological advancements through the digital environment, JTO’s workplace requires less personnel and less physical space. Business goals and functional needs have shifted, thereby generating an opportunity to consolidate their offices and gain valuable tenant space. The resulting renovation is anticipated to net 5,000 s.f. for JTO, Inc. and 2,000 s.f. for an adjacent tenant.
Design goals include spaces that foster employee engagement with a flexible work environment. This is envisioned to be achieved through shared light strategies consisting of a balance of natural light, decorative lighting, ambient lighting, and transparent partitions. Equally important is the desire to convey the story of JTO through their 55-year history, and incorporate elements of their business with custom millwork and image walls. Sustainable strategies include the use of natural light and views, increased HVAC efficiencies, indoor environmental quality upgrades, and material and resources approaches.
