A drive from New York to Los Angeles is, of course, generally in the east-to-west direction; but there are many routes that one may take to get there. Some routes are more direct than others, some are scenic, or more cultural, and weather patterns vary. Without a roadmap, it is inevitable that one will become lost along the way. Similar logic can be appropriately applied to building projects. We believe that a holistic approach to planning and design will result in better buildings that are responsive to the client’s long-term needs, growth and values. Master planning is critical in projects that involve phasing, long-term growth, logistical issues or strategic development.
